November is  #AcWriMo  (Academic Writing Month), too! We’ve gathered a few helpful tips for your scholarly writing—with academic citations of course. 1. Before You Write—Read The best practice before writing a research paper? Doing your reading. Finding high quality sources is foundational to any academic paper. Browse scholarly journals (maybe on, say, JSTOR?) and books from university and scholarly presses. The visit to both libraries was an eye opener as the Library team was enlightened on processes and technologies used in effective library management and service delivery. Cleaning Library Materials and the Stacks -  https://www.srmarchivists.org/resources/preservation/preservation-publications/cleaning-library-materials-and-the-stacks/ Introduction Stacks, offices, and storage areas must be kept clean of debris and dust. When dust collects on books, it absorbs and holds moisture that accelerates deterioration by acid hydrolysis. A continuing program of cleaning shelves and library materials will help to control the amount of airborne dirt. Neat, clean book stacks will also send the message to the patrons that library materials deserve respect and care. In his book “A Library, Media, and Archival Preservation Handbook,” DePew recommends that a regular cleaning cycle should be designed so as to work through the entire library every three to eight years, depending on the size and value of the collection, local dirt conditions, and use patterns. BENEFITS OF READING

Do you know that apart from knowledge gained, reading has other benefits?🤓 (c) Pat Nwulu For example, • Reading expands your mental alertness. What this simply means is, you won't have to struggle with information and even contribution in a group discussion; you have information at your finger tips. • Reading improves your vocabulary usage. You get new words and new styles of communication. • Reading improves your focus and concentration. If you struggle with concentration, you can try reading a book. As a Student, you are not limited to your school texts only. Expand your mind by reading other books. Do not limit yourself to reading only social media posts and comments. Read books on health, life, wealth, relationship, purpose, business and Personality Development. PICK A BOOK AND READ!!!
