INAUGURATION OF ADUN GOVERNING COUNCIL On Thursday 23 rd September, 2021, the Governing Council of Admiralty University of Nigeria (ADUN), Ibusa/Ogwashi-uku Expressway, Delta State, was inaugurated by the Board of Trustees (BoT) Chairman, Admiral OS Ibrahim (Rtd) via Zoom. The epoch making event was held live at the University Multipurpose Hall with members of the University Community in attendance. International Literacy Day - 2021

International Literacy Day (#ILD) is a day set aside by UNESCO to mark the importance of literacy in all countries and cultures of the World. This day is celebrated annually on the 8th of September . This year,the Library Staff of Admiralty University of Nigeria , led by the University Librarian – Dr. (Mrs.) G.N Onyia emphasise the need for librarians to upskill and re skill themselves for professional best practises and to be able to build literate communities. Consequently, ADUN Library staff joins UNESCO and various Countries of the world to mark this year's celebration by actively participating in the ongoing UNESCO'S Online International Conference, and the Library Literacy Virtual Conference put together by the University of Lagos Library and the American Center Directorate of the U S  Consulate General, Lagos. It is hoped that lessons learnt from this conference will expose the University Library Staff to improved skills and competencies, new service tips for more engag
