 𝐀𝐃𝐔𝐍 𝐋𝐢𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐬 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐠𝐞𝐝: 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐉𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐞: 𝐌𝐲 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞


On 14th February 2025, at the Prof. Emeritus Augustine Esogbue Library, the community gathered for a lively and fun-filled Valentine event with the theme: “Book Jamboree: My Bookish Valentine.” The event was a vibrant celebration of literature and creativity, drawing attendees from every nook and cranny of the university to the front of the library building where the event was held.

The program featured a variety of engaging activities, including spoken word performances, drama presentations, an insightful panel session, musical interludes, and interactive games like Scrabble and Chess. Notable dignitaries graced the occasion, such as the AG VC, Prof. Dili Ofokwu heavily represented by the Dean of Law, Prof. M.E. Nwocha, the University Librarian, Dr. Mrs. Gladys Onyia, the bursar, Captain HY Aliyu, Chief Tom Kimashinor (former Lecturer in charge), Dr. Martins Atamu (from Dennis Osadebe University), and other dignitaries.
A highlight of the day was the introduction of an Archery sport game by members of the Archery Club of Nigeria. This exciting demonstration added color to the celebration, captivating the audience and encouraging active participation.
At the climax of the event was the inauguration of ADUN luminary book club, aimed at fostering creativity and community participation among staff and students. As part of this milestone, newly appointed student executives were officially sworn in, marking the beginning of an initiative that promises to ignite a deeper love for reading and intellectual engagement.
Overall, the event was a remarkable blend of literature, arts, and sports that left attendees both entertained and inspired.




It stood as a testament to the vibrant spirit of our community, proving that when we come together, we create memorable experiences that are as enriching as they are fun.
